I almost forgot the grades...

The review is indeed a bit too grandiloquent and not the smoothest read, but it’s clear that it’s driven by an immense appreciation for this album... and I can’t help but agree with you!

Yours is the only Coldplay-Keane parallel I've read so far that's spot on! I still don't hear any of those Radiohead influences, though... I find them really too far apart!
P.S.: I just read that they've entered the Billboard top ten, so at this point, I believe that any comparison with the careers of bands like Starsailor, Embrace, etc., is no longer appropriate.
Peter Gabriel II

The review is beautiful... the album, even though I am a die-hard garielliano, I can't fully appreciate it. I certainly consider it a nice work (I find the slower tracks especially beautiful), very brave, and yet it seems almost like it's missing something, like it’s not entirely focused... among his albums, it somewhat resembles Cinderella.

I wonder that too, now the only ones who want me are Placebo ahahaha... anyway, it seems to me that Depeche have done great on their latest album even without me!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is enjoying this album... and to think that I bought it almost reluctantly, sure it would disappoint me. Not that the first one was perfect, but I didn't think they would create something equally enjoyable. It's always nice to hear such good taste in a product aimed at a wide audience and purely "pop" (because that's what it is; to me, they are closer to Tears For Fears and A-ha than to Coldplay or Radiohead).

I don't agree, I've listened to this album a lot in the last 2 days and I've come to the conclusion that it has nothing to envy from the previous one (by the third listen, the tracks stick in your head very easily)... both have some falls in tone and style, but in the end, they remain two very enjoyable pop albums. Perhaps this latest one is a bit more ambitious, especially in its sounds, but it doesn't come off as pretentious. Then again, it’s a matter of perspective, but I find Broken Toy very beautiful (different from everything else) and especially 3 tracks that you didn’t mention, namely Atlantic, Try Again (a bit Coldplay-like), and Bad Dream, possibly the prettiest thing they've written so far.
George Michael Older

Whether one likes George Michael or not, it is undeniable that the review is very beautiful and detailed... as for the album, I must say that it has never completely convinced me. It is still a good piece of work (which has very little in common with the sounds of the 80s), the initial part of the album and the last songs are very nice, but unfortunately in the middle it overdoes it with tracks that want to be elegant and refined at all costs, and the result is a bit too cloying. I definitely prefer Listen Without Prejudice, his only truly beautiful album (for me), much simpler but less pretentious.

I ordered this album about a month ago but my copy is still waiting in the store... I don’t know why but I had lost a bit of interest in this record, but your review, really beautiful, has rekindled it for me, so congratulations!
Genesis And Then There Were Three...

"Still with this Gabriel... can someone tell me what he's done that’s so memorable in the last thirty years without Genesis?"
Passion and Peter Gabriel 3, I’d say that should be enough...
