group name and track titles spakkaossa, music a bit less (at least at first listen)
The Desert Sessions Volumes 9 & 10

truly a nice album, with episodes that elevate it to something more than a mere divertissement: I'm not only thinking of Crawl Home, with Polly delivering one of her best performances (by the way: she plays the sax on the final part of Dead in Love!) but especially of Bring it Back Gentle, which deserved a far better stage, perhaps on one of Lanegano's albums - IMHO one of his best songs.

The album didn't completely win me over, even though there are 4-5 really nice tracks: "Hell is Chrome," "Muzzle of Bees," "Wishful Thinking," and especially "Theologians," which has become one of my all-time favorite songs. Maybe—rather than releasing albums every 2 years—they could have condensed all the best songs into one album... anyway, it's an interesting band that I'll continue to follow, even if it's not exactly my favorite genre.

the umpteenth beautiful rediscovery of these last few months... Nub and Seasick stand a notch above all the other tracks.
