as they told Troisi in Non ci resta che piangere: remember that you have to die...
Subsonica Amorematico

I believe that as a fusion of rock and electronic music, Casino Royale (with Sempre più vicini, with a tendency of the second over the first) came a bit before Subsonica. The review reads well and I liked it. Subsonic greetings.

For Zione: clearly there is no connection between Uochitoki and new wave, I simply pointed out to mikornr -who is looking for Italian novelties- two relatively recent albums that I thought deserved his attention. The Uochitoki -with their second album- are one of the most forward-thinking things I've heard lately. Regards to both.

for mikornr: if The Strokes symbolize the revival of new wave, then we are really in trouble ;) jokes aside, if I can suggest something Italian to listen to, here are two names I humbly propose: Artemoltobuffa and Uochitoki. best regards and have a nice Sunday.

I'm very skeptical about the artists that year after year are hyped by the English music press. These Kaiser Chiefs seem to me like yet another disposable band: beyond the nice single, very little, hardly any substance. Yesterday it was the Strokes, today it's them, and tomorrow it will be someone else.

really beautiful. congratulations.
The Mars Volta Scabdates

and then Nick: it seems reductive to me - beyond the obvious de gustibus - to reduce The Mars Volta to prog; in their music there's punk, psychedelia, dub echoes, in short, the references for this group are so many that it seems a bit simplistic (although sometimes necessary to try to understand) to reduce everything to a label.
The Mars Volta Scabdates
Voto:
The only flaw of this album is that it doesn’t quite capture what a Mars Volta concert can be. Not necessarily the duration turns the tracks into bricks, but I realize this has more to do with the way we listen to music. There are 40-minute albums that I find endless (and boring) from this perspective. A review that’s too generous with the rating (this CD is the classic "for fans only") and a bit naive. Best wishes to everyone.

if you enjoyed this a bit, listen to the next one, Source Tags and Codes...rather inaccurate review, maybe you don't listen to this kind of music often. the album is a 3.5 for me. happy new year!
