the Zeppelin album I prefer, the airship has never flown so high as during the solo of Since I've been loving you. a very detailed review, maybe even too much...

While I respect the opinion of those who appreciate this album, I doubt it will be remembered in the future as an essential work. Reading your comment, voiceface, I find it rather daring to elevate the concept of popularity (which is quite ambiguous in itself, often determined in contexts that are not musical, and not always synonymous with good music) as a criterion for establishing who makes it into the history of music and who doesn’t (not to mention "emotional impact on the masses" and "substantial art" present in this album: I don't understand what that means and I would love to find out!). I acknowledge Corgan as a good songwriter (Disarm, Today, 1979 just to name a few) but lacking a counterpart -within the Smashing Pumpkins- capable of keeping his megalomania and his sprawling talent in check. Best regards to everyone.

If they had made one album instead of two, the quality would have been much higher. Two-thirds of the second CD could have easily been skipped by Corgan and company.

Sorry for making you cry, but I have to indulge: I’m continuing to translate - also to familiarize myself with expressions I don't know - an interview with Tommaso il Barista, I'm making good progress (I have a couple of pages left). While browsing the internet, I found one with Rodolfo il Trovatore (shorter but really tough to translate, right from the first lines). As soon as possible, I’ll include it among the in-depth analyses, let’s say as soon as I’m able to put it into sensible Italian. Now that I’ve mentioned the Barista, be good Josi, big kids don’t cry!

Nice interview, well done MaryP. I have the first album by goodmorningboy, truly interesting, at times the voice reminds me of Stef Kamil Carlens.
