Ehhhhh come on Ajeje...Deadly Fury? I hear Happy Furietta, let's say they were a bunch of cheeky little rascals. DEADLY FURY makes me think of old school Thrash Metal or some kind of smack like Venomous Concept, but I don't really feel all this deadly fury in Du, for example even Zeke are a lot more Furious than Du (and they have a better sound).

Well, but Fugazi & CCCP are not Californians, I clearly specified what kind of punk I meant. I am in favor of sub-sub-subclassifications; I use them and endorse them. Helloween has nothing to do with Son Of Otis because metal doesn't exist, only power and doom, and the Velvet Underground has nothing to do with Deep Purple, so there's Alt & Hard Rock and not just rock, plain and simple... And just like Fugazi has nothing to do with the Dead Kennedys, there's pathetic Californian punk and HC punk where someone salvable participates. Oh, salvable, eh? Let's not exaggerate; the Californian genre is the worst on earth (better I listen to pop), but even that punkpunk is no joke. And the Dead Kennedys are a ridiculous band from every point of view; California Uber Alles, yes, for the babes on the surf table, though.

It's not that I don't like the Minutemen, it's just that "why listen to the Minutemen when you can listen to Naked City doing the same thing but MUCH BETTER?". Well, Zorn is all over the Minutemen, sure they're better than millions of bands, but I find my reason for them. As for Husker Du, I don't like the sound; it's just ugly in itself, it doesn't grab me, poorly done and half-hearted, or maybe they liked it low and poorly defined, but the fact remains that it sucks for me. Of course, they're also one of the greatest bands in their genre, but like a good compact car, even if it's good, it's still just a compact car. For me, punk is teenage stuff, like power metal and brutal gore.

Black Flag are definitely cool, Husker Du not so much but not unworthy of a listen, Refused are awesome, Minutemen don't really have a clear purpose, Bad Religion I can't stand... just like Dead Kennedys and all the California punk except Zeke :D

To me, the studio seemed the same as several years ago from the videos on the site; moreover, Dave Grohl also collaborated on it.
