The Avril example doesn’t fit at all. Punk was already a well-defined name, so you associate something with a name that is already established. The term extreme music didn’t exist and was coined to bring together the most extreme branches of metal like Death, Thrash, Gore, Grind, and all that crap. And you keep nitpicking over some damn word-name, do you realize that?
