MIKE PATTON: RADICAL LUNCH

Mike loads his cream-colored '70 VOLKSWAGEN DeluxeBUS with his master Zorn, his buddies with their instruments, and takes them home for dinner. While they're waiting, Friedlander settles in the living room and plays the cello by the fireplace, Winant takes it easy and in the bedroom caresses his percussions, Ribot, after arguing with Patton's wife about how to cook lasagna, sits in the living room and weaves some phrases with his guitar. Zorn, the usual show-off, takes to the balcony and starts shrieking with his alto sax, to the point where the neighbors get fed up and respond by making noise and calling the police and aviation.
And where's Patton? He's in the kitchen recording everything while brushing his teeth and making faces at his wife who is busy chopping vegetables and thinking: "I swear this is the last time I invite this fool's friends over for dinner. Holy moly, couldn't I have listened to my mother and married a banker?"

A '97 album homage to Marinetti and his astonishing cuisine.

Recommended for those who love the most extreme Zorn because his influence goes beyond simple collaboration.
