Ah, then fine, in the review I recommend it to everyone because I'm a jerk and I'm trying to be cool.

Acqualung is indeed another nice example, but for this and for Le Orme, I agree—but also not: There will be more "accessibility" in structure, but they have less groove, you pull in one direction but expose yourself in another. It always depends on the person; I found myself enjoying Area much sooner than Le Orme, even though I discovered them at the exact same time (they passed me about fifteen prog tapes back in the day). Well, if you take the example of someone who listens only to Indie, then that's tough for him; but if someone wants to start with Prog, you hope they are already mentally prepared for a more complicated conception of sound. In fact, I was recommending it to Enea, who quietly listens to soundtracks like Menters Nyman and Obscured By The Clouds by Floyd (which is neither Animals nor Division Bell). Defend yourself, Enea; they’ve taken you for a Saturday night house party loudmouth.

Not this one, just like Crac! by Area. If you tell me any other album by the two bands, like Octopus & Maledetti, then I will agree with you. BUT not this one, Why Not, Funny Ways, Nothing At All, and on the other side Elefante Bianco, La Mela Di Odessa, Gioia & Rivoluzione maintain quite a bit of Rock structure. Later on, both groups took much more complicated paths, especially the Gentle as Sylvian says, but the debut of the Gentle and the second one by Area aren't really mind-bending works. Super, what would you recommend instead? For me, Crimson, from any album (maybe the ones from the 90s a bit less), or Yes, or EL&P, or VDG, or Soft Machine, none of them have made albums as approachable as those two. PS: but what the hell is "il mucchio selvaggio"?

If I understand your tastes correctly, I think "Crac!" or (but anyway, "Crac!" seems more fitting to me) "Arbeit Macht Frei" by Area would be perfect for you. Nice lyrics in Italian, more melody, etc. This one is good too, though.

It wouldn't be a bad idea. Then, of course, once we're poisoned, we divide the inheritance and hire Fripp & Hamill to play in the living room.

Fabulous that Hal box set: two Live DVDs from the best period and one also on CD. If Superintruder aka piccolamia arranges an outing with some of her friends, I’ll gift it to her for Christmas (used, obviously; I’ll rip it myself first).

No Hal, neither seen nor heard of: is it one of their Lives?
