I understood Avatar by mistake, having set it aside after just three or four listens. Then I found it among the "10 albums of the year" list of many, too many people... and they were right. The best of Comets On Fire, even though the genre is different from the first two. What I can’t listen to anymore is Blue Cathedral, too transitional. It tries to be a bit like the first two, but it doesn’t succeed. It tries to be a bit like Avatar, but it doesn’t succeed. I am still firmly convinced that Avatar is "entirely the fault" of Ben MiHanRubatoIlGelato Chasny, and to have the perfect Comets On Fire album, it would need a new entry, someone who, unlike Chasny, didn’t suffer like a dog as a kid. Because Chasny, poor guy, certainly has some issues. It took a lot of sadness to calm the chaos of the early C.o.F., and he succeeded. Anxiety, sadness, despair.

Break it down, if you want a great party take a week off from September 8 to 15 and go to "Sun And Bass 2007" in San Teodoro. As for me, I believe I'll be there at least for the opening Saturday and the closing one. Otherwise, just follow the nights of the DJs who made up Harder Time (Young, Maraja, Ferlin...), wherever they are (Sarroch, Porto Pino, Poetto...) there’s usually always a great scene. Anyway, the best parties have already passed, the Sun And Bass has been marking the end of summer nights for a couple of years now.

Ajeje, I too am ignorant by now; I haven't bought house records in years, I just go to summer parties because they are nice. And the ones organized in your area are the best. // Psycho, I'm leaving tonight for a week, so unfortunately, I will have to miss the Meadow... even though there is a remote possibility I might see them at the Magnolia in Milan on the 23rd. Let's hope.

I didn't talk about the quintessential summer music genre. Also because there isn't a quintessential summer music genre. From Sardinian to Sardinian, Ajeje understood my "you can't escape." How do you avoid parties with three thousand people on the beach in July and August? Oh, yes, you can; just stay in the car or at home listening to Sweet Home Alabama. Wow, what a clever move, what a rush of life. Congratulations.

House, basically just House. It's summer, so there's no escape. I've seen Frankie Knuckles, J.Acquaviva, Satoshi Tomi, Ramirez, and so on and so forth... the usual super famous ones they bring here. You have to make the most of the only two months of island life as best you can, and unfortunately, no one is bringing Dead Meadow :-).
