THE REVIEW

Are you fans of those powerful, dark, and hardcore beats? Should your ideal rapper be (very) angry, mean, raw, but at the same time, very down-to-earth?

Yes? Then Shut 'Em Down is an album for you, just like all the Onyx works up until the criticized Bucdafucup pt 2.

The intro ("It was Onyx") introduces us to the atmosphere of Shut 'Em Down, and the following "Raze It Up" and "Street Niggaz", alone, would truly be worth purchasing the entire album. Other massive tracks include the touching "Rob & Vic", "Conspiracy", "Fuck Dat", "The Worst" featuring some members of the Wu-Tang Clan (who hasn't listened to it at least once?), and the remix of "Shut 'Em Up" ft Noreaga and Big Pun (r.i.p.). Even the party-like "Ghetto Starz" has its reason and doesn't look bad compared to the other tracks (and here Fred Starr devastates!!).

Really thick.
