The de-baserian tradition dictates that reviews of serious Italian bands come from Switzerland, as it's deemed impartial. detto papele papele: you have to write the review Kosmo!! In the meantime, I've booked the new album from Ozric Tentacles (Title: SPYRALS IN THE HIPERSPACE, a name you can trust), just to stay on the theme of Strangely Diamond Lights... then in March, there will be Orange Goblin... I see 2004 shaping up quite nicely.

I was hoping for the best... No, because at least a 5 is what Kyuss deserves, either Blues (the harder one) or Welcome. Anyway, these aren't criticisms, it's just that it’s clear from the subtext that you haven’t “understood” this album well, but not because you "don't get it" or other nonsense like that, eh! It's just that... you "understand" stoner when you're stoned. I'm not saying you said nonsense [otherwise I would have stoned you :)], and that I didn't like the style, it's too orthodox; Kyuss are emotional... they’re meant to be Stoned... // As for the voice, it might be because I also listen to Black and Death and other metal stuff, so to me Garcia sounds like a nightingale... Come on, I admit I was harsh, at least a 3 is fair.

I hope I misunderstood: This is your favorite KYUSS album and you give it a 4? I mean, this is your favorite KYUSS album and you give it a 4? NO, really, this is your favorite KYUSS album and you give it a 4? But I can understand it, if you think that cocaine "narcotizes and gives psychedelic effects"... Tell your dealer to stop giving you that crap. I'll only forgive you for that, but I strongly recommend, once you change dealers, to really listen to this album carefully. My rating would be 4.75/5 for WELCOME TO SKY VALLEY / 4.7 for Blues / Wretched 4. Ah! Garcia's voice sounds like it came "from hell" in phototropic? Wow. Terrifying and guttural for sure, huh. Well, but that stuff rules.
