AC/DC Back in Black
Voto:
Speaking of records... AC/DC fans needed just 240 seconds (4 min.) to "burn" all 4,000 available tickets (1,000 per minute, 16.666 recurring per second) for the concert on October 21 at the Carling Apollo in London. What do you think?

Hal, you're a goldmine of information. Lolli is not to be found here, wow! I like this Basile because it could have been the album of a Fossati under some paranormal effect... I have a conflicting relationship with De André because he has always been my sister's monopoly. With her, I've always had the challenge based on records: she has De André, I have CCCP, she has Battiato, I have PFM, she has Fossati, I have Faust'O (you must have understood, she likes the intellectuals, I prefer the more rock ones...). Only now am I discovering the great singer-songwriters. For example, I've taken Carta Straccia by Radius. How beautiful that album is!

The Desert Sessions Desert Sessions, Vol 9 & 10
Voto:
I listened to Desert Session attentively, it’s nice but feels incomplete. In this album, female strength is revealed; I’ll put it bluntly: woman power prevails over man power. Out of the deck, I’d highlight the three pieces with PJ (I love PJ, she’s really a ā€œrealā€ one, I can’t wait to hear her new work). "There will never be a better time" with the divine is a piece that only a woman can fully understand. All the de-baser friends should listen to that track... then there are two nice pieces like "In my head...or something" + "Bring it back gentle" (these are regular fare for someone like Josh, trifles for him)... I’m annoyed by Dead in love, I don’t know why, it’s a sensation to analyze more deeply. On the other hand, the instrumental piece with the Ween guy is well done, but hmm... Ultimately, not bad, but not great either... it's an appetizer of what awaits us with the next one from PJ and with that of Von Der Mauer (see de-news)...

... by the way, I didn't mention in the review that Jaz Coleman, among other things, serves as a conductor as a hobby, and has recently toured with the Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra... pretty badass!
Joe Satriani Surfing With The Alien
Voto:
I don't vote for Satriani, I'm too biased. When I sold records, Satriani and Steve Vai fans were the most annoying, obtuse, and pedantic you could encounter. A nightmare. However, I acknowledge the impeccable technical skill of the person in question...

Do you know Harmful? They're German and play noise in the style of Kapone, Chokebore, and Jesus Lizard... pretty intense stuff... I really like them. They'll be performing in Mezzago on December 4th with Unsane. For those who enjoy the genre, this is a highly recommended evening. Have you seen them live yet?

The unruly genius of StiviReiVou was a gift granted to us by the Gods, unfortunately brief, but intense and wonderful.
Calexico Feast Of Wire
Voto:
I have always had a passion for this crew of borderliners, dating back to the days of Giant Sand (I have a particular admiration for that genius Howe Gelb). Convertino and Burns, with their Calexico project, have masterfully continued their career. I really loved their second work, "The Black Light," it’s beautiful… However, the one you’re reviewing has the ugliest cover of the four Calexico works; it’s always the same graphic designer who does them… Another album more or less in the genre that I adore is "Kiko" by Los Lobos, do you know it?
