I have been to Africa 12 times (Kenya, Tanzania, Congo). I have to listen to it! Your last sentence perfectly explains the "mal d'Africa".... :)

Dear review, this is a great album, at times challenging, at others divine. However… damn… there's a small mistake: Aphex's personal label is Rephlex, while for Warp he is just the most prominent musical exponent (if he invested money in it, I don’t know, but it’s not “his”). I've already listened to this album several times, and each time, especially when I hear track number 14 (Tommib Help Buss), I think Hal and Iko should listen to it too. Jenkins is primarily a great experimenter, as well as an excellent "classical" musician. Track 14 is pure electronic free jazz where, among sequential electronic sounds, you can find original instruments like bass (amazing!), guitar, and drums, all played by him.

South, I won't read it until I'm sure it's the right one.

Beautiful review, really. I saw Namtchylak at a concert here in Switzerland. She’s brilliant at exposing raw nerves. That's exactly why she's not for everyone.
