Yes Caz, but the fact is that there are few, a low percentage, who love music like us. Your friends have been lucky (and had the time) to have you 'instructing' them. But it takes time and the desire to be instructed, Caz (and I believe it’s quite difficult to escape from you) :D. Not everyone has this passion, so they stick to those names. However, you must agree that those names (LedZep, Doors, Genesis, Rem, U2, etc.) are better than Take That or Aguilera (that big whore… oops... ehm, that slipped out), or Eamon, or Tizianu Ferru. It’s a presumption of us enthusiasts to think that the passion for music is universally shared. The passion as we understand it, the one that makes you search for a hair in the egg. Not everyone is a fanatic like us, and they take music lightly, as a backdrop to their daily lives, simply, without getting worked up and paranoid. U2 are perfect for the radio, and for those people who listen to it for companionship and joy without too many complications. And this for me is not a drawback, because the quality of U2 is certainly superior to the crap that’s out there.

I'm really curious. My mother has many Wings records (I liked Band on the Run), but I don't remember this one. I'll go rummaging through her drawers and let you know.

I don't know the group, but the review is very nice, intimate, and sensitive. A soft photograph that conveys peace and harmony. Krakow must be beautiful :)

I agree with what Anonimo says, but it's amusing to see how a record like this provokes different emotions. "Why? What does this record add to history? What does it contribute? I wait." Airone. This is an album that sparks discussion (as you can see), and that's already something. Furthermore, this band has had the merit (like very few others... such as Queen, R.E.M.) of bringing everyone together—small, large, old, alternative, rockers, pop lovers, hairdressers, shop assistants, career women, workers, lawyers, entrepreneurs... do you understand? A special chemistry that appeals to almost everyone. It’s not so easy to achieve this with quality, you know? I know because when I was selling records, U2 albums were a blessing for business (to put it bluntly). People of all kinds came to buy them. The same goes for R.E.M. This goes to say that selling a lot of records (Achtung Baby sold like crazy) to the "common" people was quite gratifying, always better than selling the CD of Leone di Lernia (I don’t know if anyone remembers, but I sold tons of that crap)... U2 is one of those rare bands that had the power to bridge the generational gap, pleasing not just the kids but their parents as well... imho

I LOVE IT! I'm with you, yes it's his masterpiece. I love everything about Bowie, but in this album he speaks a language that gets under my skin. Beautiful entrance Ghemison. Welcome! :)

... to be honest, I was talking about the 'superiority of Italian listeners towards italo music'... as if to say that a good part of Italian music consumers, in general, judge the rock produced in Italy with a sense of superiority. It’s undeniable, and correct me if I'm wrong, the Italian people always criticize themselves... it’s not a flaw (in fact, it should be a virtue) but in this case, it’s extreme (whereas for football it’s not)... what do you think, am I wrong? Or is it just my prejudice?
