I didn't hear it, not even Nada's (did I do wrong?), ultimately I only saw Ruggero's version with the alpini (the ascappella version), and Gaetano's "interpreted" (quotes are a must here) by Paolo Rossi. That was more than enough for me. Ah, once by chance while channel surfing I stumbled upon Dorelli. Let's just say I’ll cover that with a veil of pity.

I completely agree with Nick. But even in the original version, we would lose part of the meaning, since many exclamations (and curses) are expressed in pure Yiddish (which Borat passes off as Kazakh here). Only those who speak it correctly can fully understand this film, and only those who are Yiddish can grasp that the pseudo-antisemitism lurking here is a product of the proverbial Jewish self-irony, an irony so fierce as few others (almost surpassing the British one) ("Why do Jews all have such big noses? Because air is free! (Moni Ovadia)")

The Exorcist: Today it almost feels endearing, even though in certain scenes a surge of ancient voodoo fears rises. >> Shining: a masterpiece that has become inflated, to the point that 3 out of 5 videos - from American bands - reference its scenes. Enough already. >> Cruising: today a film like that, Brad Pitt would never make. Perhaps a Sean Penn. A Benicio. Who knows. Let's try asking them.
