Alice Il sole nella pioggia
Voto:
Alice is the female alter-ego of Franco Battiato, capable of involving high-caliber musicians, including Peter Hammill, as a testament to the quality of her musical offering. It’s no coincidence that the most magnetic song on the album is perhaps "Now And Forever," written by the former Van Der Graaf. Moreover, she was quite a looker (at least back then).
Duran Duran Big Thing

I'm glad not to suffer from loneliness in finding this record at least appreciable. When it comes to bands of this kind, the field is always fraught, and easy irony is always lurking around the corner. But I see that I'm in good company.
Primal Scream Screamadelica

I've always read that the masterpiece of the album is "Loaded." Personally, I agree. It's an excellent album for three-quarters of its length, but then it loses some tension, and some tracks seem to drag on a bit too long. Nonetheless, 5 stars.
Bryan Ferry Boys and Girls

"Avalon" is one of the very few vinyl records I later repurchased on CD. To be honest, the vinyl, more than producing sounds, emitted fryer noises since my decision. I find this good in parts. Sometimes it seems to lack a bit of inspiration, and the sounds feel "too 80s."
Prefab Sprout Jordan: The Comeback

Hats off to the review and the reviewer. Given that Steve McQueen remains unrivaled, this CD, under the critical eye of Socrates, was the final flourish of the good Paddy.
La Crus Ogni cosa che vedo
Voto:
Today the new CD by La Crus was released. Tomorrow I'll buy it (if I can find it). However, this isn't as bad as it's painted out to be.
Suzanne Vega Solitude Standing

For honeyandmoom. I recommend you go in chronological order since ours has always declined. When you find an album you don't like, stop; the next one is worse. This one reviewed is the second. If you want to follow my advice, start with the self-titled debut, where you'll find the unmatched "Marlene On The Wall."

It's the only album by the Eels that I don't have. Everywhere (especially in Il Mucchio) I've always read that it's quite dispensable. Shootenanny is a great album, no doubt about it. Going back to Souljacker, I remember seeing it around for 10 euros. I'll consider it. My shopping list is getting way too long. Great review.
Paul Simon Hearts and Bones
Voto:
Strangely, I only have this album by Paul Simon as a solo artist and not the more celebrated "Graceland." I loved him with Garfunkel, but solo he's just okay. A good review, perhaps too positive, for an artist who has been on a downward slope for quite some time.

It's a sort of Nick Cave in a skirt, but it seems like something is missing to really be Nick Cave (besides that!).
