It's logical that he sets the tempo; he's a drummer!! But the foundation is laid by the percussionists, and he works on that. You're right, tastes are tastes, but what does it matter? The fact that you like Jordison (I do too, for that matter) doesn't mean he's the best drummer on earth, at least from a technical standpoint. Anyway, the rating I gave you was certainly not for your ideas, that's for sure, but for the style of the review which I find totally needs revisiting. But, I repeat, it's your first review, and so you have time to work on it...
Opeth Ghost Reveries
Voto:
Mala, perhaps you don't realize that a band like Opeth can only compose good music if they give free rein to their creativity. If Opeth had to constantly think about what to play to satisfy the fans, they would have a short life and wouldn't be themselves anymore. Let's let them continue in peace, as they have only blessed us with gems so far and continue to do so. And don't say "I EXPECT" like a spoiled child, as that would put you on the wrong side.
Cannibal Corpse Gore Obsessed
Voto:
Sorry, it depends on the cases. Cannibal Corpse are brutal and have many gore elements, but they do it with class and the quality of their music is undeniable; it’s no coincidence they won a platinum record. But the gore from bands like Whore, Waco Jesus, Fornication, or Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, that really makes me sick as hell.

It's not my kind of music, but you definitely piqued my interest; I will go listen to it. Great job anyway!

I'm sorry, but this seems to me anything but a review; there are too many personal comments... No way, I really didn't like it. You're forgiven because it's your first work, but a bit more effort (actually, not a bit, a lot) wouldn't hurt. Anyway, this is probably the best of Slipknot...
P.S. Jordison the best on Earth? Oh God, I hope Lombardo doesn't hear you... And I think that in Slipknot, Jordison is almost unnecessary since they have three percussionists!! Hey, did you perhaps confuse drums with percussion???
At The Gates Slaughter Of The Soul

I completely agree with PasMal. In "the Sound Of Perseverance," Death took a heavy turn (but that's okay if the result is at that level!) while "Slaughter Of The Soul" is the melodic death metal album par excellence. It's hard to do better.

Ashluke, you're right, this isn't music, this is art. Don't worry, golf is fun, you just have to get the hang of it. Start up. Anyway, thanks for the 4.

Thank you, anonymous. I still haven't figured out where and when I did politics. Gio, try rereading the review carefully and you'll notice how there is absolutely no personal reference from me at a political level. First of all, the phrase you repeated was taken from School of Rock, and it's not mine, so it doesn’t automatically reflect my thoughts (and it’s not gratuitous politics). Secondly, everything I wrote around that phrase that seems "political" to you is a description I deemed necessary in order to describe the album in question, which captures exactly what I wrote. Destroying the powerful is not something I want to do (gratuitous politics) but it’s the soul that drives this recording effort of Raging Speedhorn, in my opinion as someone who has listened to it (it's called "review"). So don't say that I'm doing politics when I'm simply describing an album (in fact, my words do not reveal my political stance at all, which, by the way, I don’t have because I prefer to keep politics at a proper distance). It's a review, period. We're talking about music and nothing else, and that's exactly what I'm discussing. Okay? K, what you said is the truth, and for me, it’s wrong. Why? Because (since this is a global music site) if Alicia Keys (random name, don't worry) annoys me because I consider her a “slut”, I do NOT go to the review of her album without even knowing what it’s called, giving it a 1, and writing a nice "take that" under it with nothing else!! To me, that's something for idiots, and unfortunately that's how DeBaeser is becoming. Even the comments there are becoming useless, as they have turned into a sterile tool for mockery. That's how I see it.

And then what do you think, why did they highlight it in bold if, as you say, it had nothing to do with it??? Were they drunk???
