It's true that Katz spent 6 months in a nursing home around '75, but he's not dead!!! He's alive and well instead of just vegetating. According to his sister, the only one with whom he still has a somewhat normal relationship, he hasn't played the guitar in years.

Don't come and say that Oasis are commercial??? Aside from the complete distortion of the word commercial (The Beatles were the most commercially successful band of the '60s), which should be replaced with the term easy-listening, tell me what Oasis lacks in terms of being commercial (as you put it)? Did they bring a new sound to light?? Are they experimenters? No, none of that—they just make rock music by borrowing styles, chords, and architectures from the past, that's all. Not that I hate them for this; there are millions of bands like that (more or less good). I hate them because they are extremely arrogant and want to project the image of the classic angry and temperamental artist while sitting on billions. And that really pisses me off—actually, it infuriates me... okay, you’ve been produced, you rode the wave, you became super rich, fine by me... but don’t try to create a false image that’s different from reality. I’m one of those anti-Oasis idiots, you know (for example, not anti-Blur, who had the decency to reinvent themselves and make an album like Think Tank, which I adore), and maybe I won’t understand a damn thing about music, as you say (though I’d like to point out: what the hell is there to understand in music?? Music is about sensation, listening, tuning into it, etc., but there’s nothing to understand if we take out the lyrics of a few true poets/musicians). But I don’t insult people just because they don’t like Oasis, that’s all. I hope in your tender age, otherwise you have some very serious problems…
Commercial is just a mere word, that's all; it means making business in the music field, i.e., selling a ton of records, so Oasis are one of the most commercial bands of the '90s. Bye
