It happened like this: the day before the date of their tour, the vocalist at the time said he had to go home because his psychiatrist had ordered him to. So the Can found themselves wondering, "what are we going to do now?" They thought it would be a good idea to go for a drink, and outside the venue, they found a homeless Suzuki raving. Czukay then said, "he will be our new vocalist for tonight!" They took him on stage, and when it was time for the live show, instead of singing, he started doing kung fu moves on stage, threatening all the audience members. So Czukay said, "well, you will DEFINITELY be our vocalist."

I like Zooropa much more than other U2 albums that are considered masterpieces. It has certainly been underestimated due to the low level of appreciation from the average U2 fan's avant-garde. "daddy's gonna pay..." is avant-rock and "lemon" is hypnotic. "stay" is so much more beautiful than the overly sweet and overrated "one."
