However, I have to say that I listened to the latest CD because I was curious... and I must say there is definitely a step forward. Clearly, it's extremely commercial... but it's a commercial that you can listen to... it could be worse...
Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris All The Roadrunning

Honestly, I was very disappointed on the first listen... it's just that I can't stand her... I decided to give them a chance by going to see their concert in Verona, but even there they failed to excite me... I can say that the entire audience, to be honest, was pretty lukewarm during the whole performance... Not to mention, only the few tracks by Knopfler as a solo artist were saved. However, the review is excellent as it perfectly warns potential new listeners of this cd...

Absolutely catchy record... You're right to say they don't reinvent the wheel... However, the review could have been better...

This is bullshit. The best are always recognized and remembered. You remember the Pink Floyd. You remember the AC/DC. You remember the Dire Straits. And moreover, they are acknowledged as giants in their musical genre. It is true that often the "good" ones are not recognized as such, but the best always come through. Almost always. One must be careful with generalizations.

But deep down, this CD isn't bad at all. The style remains peculiar since the songs don't strike you on the first listen. I'll play the peacemaker: it would be better to express ratings out of ten; 5 points for this CD is definitely exaggerated, but I think we should respect the opinion or at least avoid telling it to wipe its mouth from the milk.

In the end, it's catchy. I gave it to a friend, and even though I'm not crazy about it, it's listenable. The review isn't bad. She just didn't like it but didn't insult them. It's true that the songs all sound alike anyway...

In the end, we were exhausted. We paid a lot but enjoyed quite a bit.
Dire Straits Love Over Gold

In general, the concert turned out to be splendid: Knopfler didn't resort to the classic "Ciao Milano." He was very professional, yet he managed to create a very intimate atmosphere (thanks to some casual skits), almost as if it were a conversation with the audience. Notable was the presence of a double bass, which replaced the bass in many songs. The band consisted of six members: him, two guitarists, a keyboardist, the bassist, and the drummer, who had been part of Dire Straits (a true phenomenon). And that’s all...
