Another gap that I intend to fill, encouraged quite a bit by your review.

I was wondering, while re-listening to this magnificent album, if anyone has heard it and what they think.

A telepathy, zaireeka: we responded simultaneously.

My biased and personal evaluation of Brian Wilson's work was not meant to undermine that of the great Paul. Poor Brian gave everything in the first 24-25 years, only to sink into a black hole from which he has only recently managed to pull himself out. McCartney has "spread out" his excellent and substantial production over nearly half a century, so it's understandable that some of his solo works do not have the same strength and intensity as "SMiLE." If I have to be honest, for me "Pet Sounds" is not inferior to the best of the Beatles.

I agree with zaireeka. Should I manage to write something about the "teenage symphony to God," a dedication will be a must. ;-)
Enrico Pieranunzi & Paul Motian Doorways
Voto:
I came to this album through a compilation of tracks released by independent jazz labels that my brother picked up in France. The track featured in the album in question, taken from "Doorways," is "Words of the sea." It only took one listen to persuade me to buy the album, which did not disappoint. Highly recommended, though I must warn melody lovers, as there are few "easier" pieces on the album like the mentioned track.

Great record. Last year in Pomigliano, my friend and I were the only ones who brought 2 CDs to the reunion concert of the Liberation Music Orchestra: today we have two records enriched with the autographs of the great Charlie and the ethereal Carla Bley.
Ada Montellanico e Enrico Pieranunzi Danza di una ninfa, storie di Tenco
Voto:
I am a fan of Pieranunzi (whom I had the privilege of hearing live a couple of times) and a great admirer of Tenco. I got the album as soon as I heard about it, but I still haven't listened to it properly. The review is, as usual, flawless, rich in information and imagery.

Ringo, you made your debut with an unintentional "slight," but you more than made up for it with choices, reviews, and comments that demonstrate, for whatever my opinion might be worth, expertise and sensitivity. Well done! P.S. I’ll tell you that, while I don't dispute the fact that "Horses" might be the creative peak, I’m more fond of "Wave," if only for the presence of "Frederick."

Sure! We'll comment on it together with the usual little group (no fewer than 5 and no more than 10). :-))
