A deadly boredom and a masterpiece at the same time :-))

I'm not a big fan of non-reviews, emo-reviews, and the like. An album of such significance undoubtedly deserves a more in-depth discussion, in addition to a necessary account of the emotions and sensations experienced after listening to it. In short, call me boring, pedantic, hyper-technical, but that's how I see it :-)) There’s a lot of vagueness in that "Alternative" among genres, and then there was Cleo's review about it already... Okay, I authorize you to tell me to fuck off :D

Great album, completely different from "Homework" but almost on the same level. I don't agree with the various negative opinions expressed here; it's undoubtedly a more open work than the previous one, but of equal intensity (unlike the last one, which I find incredibly empty). Moral of the story: it's perfectly fine to shift towards chart Pop, if done in a dignified way ;-) Regards... Oh, but isn’t this already the third review about it? :P

Well, I wouldn't generalize about compilations. Certainly, there are some really bland ones on the shelves, but they are balanced out by others that are really interesting, like those from Harmless (the various "Pulp Fusion," for example), the "Dusty Fingers" saga, and all the compilations from the electronic label Audiopharm (the "Brazilectro" above all). In short, let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater ;-) I listened to this one the other day at Feltrinelli, and I would even rate it a 4. Bye :-)
Franco Battiato Gommalacca
Voto:
Absolutely beautiful album, definitely among the best of Battiato's recent production. What I admire most about Franco is his ability to always keep up with the times, an artist who continuously updates his musical (and non-musical) culture, offering albums that are never predictable, even if they are more "normal" compared to his experimental masterpieces of the '70s. On the other hand, I absolutely do not see the song format as a limit to his unparalleled genius. Well done, bravo, encore! :-))

Yeah, alright, goodnight...

Stevie's "Innervisions" and "Music Of My Mind" are also beautiful, both released by Motown. Beautiful, intense, and highly sampleable ;-)

AMAZING. And I’m also including quite a few samples for this sublime review.

Ler0 I don’t know, I saw them live at Flippaut and honestly, they seem to push too hard on their newer tracks, neglecting the repertoire from the first two albums. A note for Aphex Twin instead: you can’t find a damn ticket in Naples, can you get one for me in Rome? I’ve also found some friends who are going and they’ve already got tickets through other friends... I swear I’ll reimburse you down to the last cent on Saturday!!! :-))) Cool, I’ll keep in touch.
