The final part is pure madness turned into a video game. Apart from that, undoubtedly the least beautiful of the saga (which I adore) but mostly due to the extremely exaggerated amount of pointless cutscenes and the such a tangled plot that even Kojima himself declared he didn’t understand a thing. Even Raiden seemed to me like an hysterical wuss, but he never really annoyed me too much.

I agree, the atmosphere of this chapter is the best. The first time I played it, it gave me nightmares (not to mention the pants-shitting XD)

Damn, I wanted to review it but you beat me to it :-) If Silent Hills had come out by now, I would have already pre-ordered it, an absolutely terrifying demo (literally)! Too bad the Japanese closed the project, what bad luck...
