all of this is as pleasant as uncapping the flute in a mini-guillotine (in my case, very mini)

I found it hilarious. I hadn't laughed this hard with Tarantino since Pulp Fiction. Waltz is hilarious in the first part, and the spoof of the KKK is phenomenal. The over-the-top shootouts are spectacular, just like Rodriguez. Samuel Jackson is fantastic, and Jamie Foxx is perhaps the most dimensional character, but he's got quite a significant pipe underneath. Maybe it's a bit long (about twenty minutes could have been trimmed here and there). The soundtrack is perfect, and the characters' looks are very distinctive. Great Tarantino, 2 hours and 40 minutes of excellent entertainment.

The review didn't convince me at all, especially the first part (the one mentioned by the good extro91 above all). I'll watch the movie tonight. I'll come back for a more in-depth comment.

What the hell is this? 1 for you and 1 for me, because I didn't understand anything.
Peter Jackson Il Signore degli Anelli - La Compagnia dell'Anello

trilogy of a terrifying slowness, full of clichés, lacking tension (the third is the apotheosis, during the decisive battle there are a ton of cuts to the 2 homosexual hobbits climbing the mountain), Gollum is one of the most boring and annoying characters in history (I would slap the voice actor), Frodo is even more unbearable. 3 disposable films that leave nothing behind.

Seen live a few years ago in front of an audience of 10 people, nonetheless they were good and engaging. I also have one of their original records, enjoyable, but they bored me quickly.

I went to see it at the movies when it came out, with the girl I wanted to hook up with in high school. I don't remember it very well; we started making out hard right at the climactic moment. 3 because as long as I was paying attention it wasn't bad.

the review made me lose the desire to see it… maybe streaming, comfortably at home. Django should last around 3 hours, I will definitely watch it in the cinema, but I think that one will also be quite a hefty chunk (I mean, a 3-hour western full of dialogues kind of scares me)
