Showy, pretentious, and pompous... if they give you this effect musically, I don't think there's any reason to be offended or shocked. For example, I've met the Ministri, nice and down-to-earth guys, but I find their music terrible, predictable, and with pathetic lyrics. I'm not insulting them as people, just as musicians... though I don't even really insult them; I'm just stating my opinion. I didn't say you're a bunch of assholes, you know.
