Actually, this (but maybe I'm remembering it wrong) was somewhat snubbed (I don't recall it in the cinemas around here)... they even pushed it aside compared to The Book of Eli (aka Codice Genesi, if I’m not mistaken)... which, by the way, is terrible...

I don't know if the movie sticks to the book's ending... but it was precisely the ending that disappointed me (in the film)... an unexpected glimmer of hope that honestly undermines a bit of everything...
