A work that evokes Davis' A Tribute To Jack Johnson with Rava in great form and Abercrombie particularly inspired, wisely reissued by ECM last year. Its flow of evocations dear to SuperBoia fits the Maestro well, a dark prince suspended between the lights of the American metropolis and the Scandinavian mists.

I also read Gaiman's Anansi Boys and The Graveyard Book and Other Stories, and I prefer him on short distances (The Graveyard Book...) rather than on long ones. Coraline is high quality. Gaiman is abundant in visionary intuition and the ability to create narrative twists, but a bit weak in style (I can't say how much this depends on the translation). I would call him the "paper" brother of Tim Burton.
