Nirvana MTV Unplugged In New York

But what kind of discussion is that, Taurus? Many things are derivative and can therefore be influential, and I won't give examples to avoid stirring up more trouble. The Nirvana, and I’m not saying this to defend them or anything (who cares), but simply because it's true, fully embodied the grunge movement, including the more underground aspects, making it popular and hence influential; that’s the most logical reasoning there is. And in their mediocrity, as you say, they might simply appeal to people because there’s no rule that says one must be an innovator or fundamental at all costs. It’s a bit exhausting, the people who keep making this kind of argument.

In the end, the review doesn’t have to be as objective as possible. Not up here. This isn’t a site for reviews written by professional critics. The more imaginative reviews show up on DeBaser. Rather, I would focus on the truly essential factor, expressed a few comments earlier by the reviewer: "Well, this first taste disappointed me." Well, a first taste is not enough to fully grasp the album in question; we’re not listening to Pausini, and it’s unfair to write a review after just a sample, that’s all in my opinion.

I'm very sorry. The conclusion of the page sends shivers down my spine. Hello Trellheim.

You expect too much, dear Pi-Airot (even though you will never read this). I don't know the album, so I won't rate it (even though I feel an INEXPLICABLE urge to give it a 1), while you...

Without reading or listening, with fiber and sexyajax one can go confidently, eyes closed.

Yet Yorke himself took it directly with Bellamy(nkia), accusing the latter of trying to imitate him in Showbiz. And then the two owe a lot to Jeff Buckley, which at least somewhat unites them on a vocal level. Anyway, in Maquiladora, a Radiohead b-side, we have a synthesis of what will be the entire early phase of Muse. Try it for yourself:

Good job, Zarozinia, sing it to that guy and don't worry that you're not getting older, I'm by your side.

I've been trying to send you a private message on YouTube for a while, containing my address and a complimentary video for the client, but you... you never read it.

The comparison, sometimes almost inevitable, actually doesn’t hold up. I'm rooting for Joel anyway: less inflated, more credible, and perhaps more talented, as well as unjustly less appreciated.

Well, dear Muffin, in fact you made the comparison (perhaps indirectly) when you said it's sad to find so many comments here rather than from Zappa. Which then is an irrelevant factor; it's more a matter of popularity, maybe, and in this respect the Nirvana are more advantaged compared to Zappa, or perhaps it's about catchiness, since Zappa isn’t exactly easy (even though he mixed a fun component into his music) to understand. But aside from that, I believe there's another thing that has understandably not gone down well with our debaserian companions, which is the alleged influence of Nirvana, and at least on this you should reconsider. Perhaps even the comments on this review are enough to testify to the contrary.
