Well, it was fair to praise its merits as well as highlight its flaws. In my opinion, it’s the opposite; the first one was absolute crap, while the second one was acceptable :D. But the best tracks (as often happens in the genre) weren’t chosen as singles. It’s hard to understand why cold cuts like "come clean" would have been perfect for the current period, and so if we want to look at it from one side, I can definitely see sales working well.

great album, great atmosphere, the melancholic touch is felt and pervades you throughout its duration. I'm not a big fan of the male vocals, but everything is compensated by beautiful ethereal female lines and a great variety of influences ranging from gothic to trip hop to ambient, as in the last track. great recommendation, but you mixed up the order of the tracks in the review.

Damn, at 35 years old you act like kindergarten kids. No comment.

calm down, what is this bitterness? when someone posts 3 disconnected replies in a row, they’re just being bitter :) I wonder why you’d get upset; I see no reason to take offense at a criticism of your genre/groups, and insult the current bad guy who criticizes, an attitude perfectly in line with tokiohotellina94 style. (:
the garbage are successful thanks to shirley’s extravocal qualities? Premising that there are incredibly talented singers like tarja turunen, sharon den adel, liv kristine who are stunning (tarja come on, she looks ridiculously hot), would you attribute their success solely to the female-front-leader-hottie-who-dres ses-goth-and-makes-13-year-olds-swo on factor? or to some favors for record labels? :D I hope you’re joking; when there’s quality and talent, there’s not much to discuss. shirley is gorgeous, that’s for sure, but garbage haven’t been strong for at least 4.5 years, that is, since their second-to-last album… their success should be tied to the immense quality of their earlier records, which were VARIED, effortlessly ranging from rock, pop, trip hop, orchestral arrangements, dance, electronic… I invite you to listen to you look so fine or milk, trip hop tracks that compete excellently with the greats like massive attack, tricky, and portishead… garbage really knew how to do it; the fact that they may or may not have been on mtv (I don’t know because again, it’s never been played here) doesn’t change the game… butch is a very valid producer whom I appreciate, like most eclectic and open-minded producers who deserve respect from the start (unlike black metallers and their crew who, alas, pretty or not, churn out 20, 30 albums that are practically identical in essence, with the usual 4 instruments, the same sounds, the same pathetic growls) and then when someone in metal dares to experiment and try something new, perhaps adding electronic or industrial-electro elements, down come the insults "it’s not true metal! commercial! what junk for posers, burn it… stay metal!!" you know how many comments like that I've heard... let’s talk about Lucassen with the Ayreon project that you surely know… he is A GENIUS and immense talent in your genre!! then burzum can be a good composer or whatever you want, but for me, he remains a rather banal and predictable character for teen-defenders… just the fact that someone presents themselves with the usual metal clichés, long hair, Viking attitude, standardized covers with the same metal dictates, and who knows what tough-guy airs, irritates me quite a bit, because why want to fit into a genre with specific attire and behaviors? it’s nonsense, even 13-year-old sheep wouldn’t do that… if you don’t do it and I’m wrong, good for you… but metalheads in general are the most standardized and uniform bunch in the world, and I'm not talking about myspace or facebook; there are tons of them around here, and I know several. Rarely does anyone have tastes beyond metal, and I’ve noticed that quite a bit online too... if you do, I respect you and I take back what I said, go Google bad religion photos… among the most influential punk rock groups of the 80s and 90s… they made a hell of a noise, much better than other sk8er peers… but if you look at how they present themselves, their lyrics, their photos, their live shows (http://lilcocky.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/bad-religion.jpg), they’ll seem like perfectly normal people, maybe a bit nerdy, but they are truly great.
I hope you can understand this long post because if you come out with more insults and childish bitterness, you’re proving to me that you’re not particularly dedicated to real confrontation and just wasting my time.
best regards
cordially yours, Yosif (:

mistral is a great track, overall a nice album, nothing more, a bit too monotonous.
