Tricky Mixed Race
Voto:
All these one for the best Tricky in the last 10 years?! The last ones in general were really embarrassing, and clearly not up to masterpieces like nearly god, maxinquaye and the likes, but personally I'm really enjoying this one, and quite a bit. It rocks.

Great job, memento! Recently, I read your other reviews on Tibet... truly encyclopedic and incredibly useful for someone like me who only had a vague understanding from a couple of albums. Looking at what the user has done, I thought how a job like this (delving into a specific artist, let's say, less celebrated across almost their entire discography) [in your case, hats off since Tibet is nothing short of prolific] would be worth doing for many others who are little to nothing represented in the database, even if they only have 3 or 4 albums, but all are noteworthy, instead of sending duplicate reviews for albums where practically everything has already been said... specifically, regarding Deb, there’s a ton of experimental stuff missing from the 60s/70s, electronic from the 90s/2000s, funk from the 70s, rap from the 80s/90s, EBM industrial, ambient, new releases that aren’t just cut-and-paste from various Ondarock... and to think that even just in these areas of serious records from the period, there’s a mountain of material, but I realize it could be pure utopia; tomorrow, the usual milestone-reviewed-7-times album will pop up with a rating of 5.

Great but imho on that German scene there were quite a few less publicized yet superior, more original, and much more badass people.. the album is quite mediocre, much better Munich Machine.
