Bea review! You can tell you're a connoisseur of the genre. I also like Whitesnake, although I only enjoy 3-4 of their albums; I prefer to hear Coverdale with Deep Purple. Friendly advice: a quick run through a spell checker would eliminate that couple of unsightly spelling mistakes in such a good review like this. Chao!

@SQUALL LEONHEAR: I give the review a 5 because I agree with it and it's well written (and also out of sympathy for the author who has written several nice ones), while I give the album a 1 because from my point of view, it's really bad. That said, and anticipating that I absolutely don’t want to make this a contentious issue, I disagree with you when you say, "The bad thing about Debaser is the intolerance for everything that isn’t considered cultural." It seems to me that there are quite a few reviews on video games (to which I’ve given a 5 in many cases) or various jokes (in which I’ve often found myself as the protagonist, happily or not). The discussion, in my opinion, is what an artist like Beyoncé represents beyond the music: being promoted through daytime television programs or frivolous magazines, it’s obvious that the target audience is teenagers, and for this reason I can’t fully view her as just “frivolous entertainment.” Let me explain: a fifteen-year-old who listens to Zappa, if he wants to emulate his idol, will try to play the guitar or, at worst, grow some improbable mustaches, while girls who drool over Britney Spears as a model believe that without getting lip fillers and showing their breasts these days, you’re nobody, and they act accordingly. Just take a look at the percentage of cosmetic surgery interventions (I’m speaking of percentages found in documents from medical conferences) among minors to understand the phenomenon. Musically speaking, I’d much rather listen to a hundred grind bands made up of kids who, with two chords and always vomiting the same syllables, try to play on stage, creating what they consider music, than these artists who sing over a musical track they don’t even know the origins of, mumbling a text written by others, with a guy in front guiding them in the rhythm.

Maximum respect for those who introduce us to these horrifically absurd covers. We could open a section on the ugliest artwork, that would be nice. Never heard of these Charlies, but if they do pop rock and you gave them 2 stars...well, I don't think I'll be disturbing Mr. Share Rapid. Chao!

The term "cazzoni" referring to SLADE is spot on. In fact, they are one of the few bands in the genre that literally drive me crazy; "In Flame" and "Slayed?" are 2 phenomenal albums. But with those platform shoes and hairstyles... they were absolutely unbearable!

Great REBELDE, that I don't know. For me, it always remains "In osteria no ghe vae, ma co ghe son ghe stae." To tell the truth, it's a bit like my daily karma...
