Since when is copying prohibited? Plagiarism is forbidden, and that's another thing. If we wanted to eliminate those who copy, we would have to bring down many crowned heads of the music scene. Then "Too bad the tons of keyboards keep persisting, Ben Soto's voice is almost always at its highest, and the melodies of the choruses are as polished and pleasant as a pin-up's makeup and the demeanor of an insurance agent." It’s power, my god, not indie.

@Aliensoundtrack: "Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts" is really cool, it’s simply different from its predecessor. Feel free to give it a listen.

4 to the album, 5 to the cover (I loved it as soon as I saw it)! After the somewhat unconvincing "Strangefolk," my beloved Kula Shaker are back in great form. Welcome back, guys!

But how the hell can you give three to Sonic Temple? Who knows...

@Silvaplana of comment 106: how much blind stupidity in defending the indefensible. Hendrix paved the way for a certain way of understanding the electric guitar, and countless Artists with a capital A have followed him, inspired by him. So explain to me the relevance of associating Hendrix with X-Factor. If you find that a reasonable comparison, I'm sorry, but you have some hearing issues. It's a sad thing when one moves forward with a preconceived notion, against the most obvious evidence.

I am astonished by the "great technical knowledge" of certain critiques and the total absence of the factor that makes the difference: the heart. Dear purists, resign yourselves. What is noise to some is ecstasy to others. To be so absurdly simplistic, to dismiss great artists who have brought emotions and new paths to the talents that followed them, solely for "pretentiousness" and to crap on the Mona Lisa. That said, in complete fidelity to the philosophy of "who cares" and following only one's own feelings, I give this record a 5, which I like a lot.

"Transformer" is Lou Reed's second solo album. The first is the self-titled "Lou Reed."
