My greatest discovery in the last few months. An album that, the first time I listened to it, hypnotized me with its beauty, its melancholy, its simplicity. There is such perfection in these songs that I am enchanted every time I listen to them.. Even just in Cohen's voice, which is nothing extraordinary, the words come to life; they are images more than poems. I still can't explain why, but I don't think of this album as a 68 record; it could have been recorded yesterday or in the 50s. It transcends any temporal dimension and thus, in turn, alienates me from everything and everyone: it's almost like a dream.
