Since my turntable started spinning again, I feel like I've become a better person. Not only does the ritual calm me, I relish the lyrics and the album cover art pops out, but I've calmed down as a listener. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear, but the world spinning at 33 - somewhat elitist these days - smells of dust, and I feel divine amid the dust. Since my turntable started spinning again, I've regained myself. Out of my way, iPods, earbuds, files, and stuff like that. I roam the world with open ears, waiting to actually have 40 free minutes to devote my marginalized nerves to someone's music, giving it the proper and sacred attention. In this new guise of hard and pure, I see myself well, and there I would have stayed if it weren't for a resounding and programmatic name complete with an exclamation point: Bomb the Music Industry!

A musical collective of 26 members that gives away their albums from their website, active since 2006 and endowed with such spontaneous and genuine foolishness that when it's there, it becomes fundamental. As I was saying: if one day you find yourself at a Bomb the Music Industry! concert, don't hesitate to climb on stage as they won't hesitate to lend you their instruments. Among fools, there's a wonderful understanding. Indeed!

This "Scrambles", dated 2009, is fresh, danceable, sunny, crazy. In "Scrambles", all conceivable genres are blended - from Ska to indie-American singer-songwriter to the most ostentatious and vulgar Hardcore, passing through Super Mario electronics - with no coherence, with bad taste and lots of fun. All played splendidly at the speed of light, with intensity and readiness that these days is already a luxury.

If you're in a good mood and your Pavement records have worn out, replace them with the new fools in the circle. It will do you good.
