Normally, nostalgia comes for the beautiful things.

Even though I listen to a lot of prog (mainly from the 70s), I prefer this phase of Fates Warning, even if I think it's more of an emotional matter (it reminds me of my early days as a metalhead in middle school... good times...)

Mani is an amazing drummer! Beautiful proposal.
Kenneth Branagh Frankenstein Di Mary Shelley

That in the cinematic adaptation of a novel one takes some liberties seems more than obvious, if not even desirable. If we then think of the historic Frankenstein with Boris Karloff, what can one say? More than anything, the film, while being pleasant, has never conveyed much to me. It belongs to a period in the early '90s when other prominent directors were tackling horror classics, trying to be stylish, contemporary, cultured, and philological (even from a cinematic standpoint), forgetting to be genuinely frightening (I think of Coppola's Dracula, exaggerated to the point of being absurd). Here, Branagh thinks he’s Russell, and borrows more than one idea from "Tommy" and "State of Mind" - but the mix only half convinces.

Not that it thrilled me, but the scene of Athina Cenci hysterically stopping the boiling milk by demanding "shut up!" has stuck with me since I was a child.

Go with the Wilson sisters! I'm listening to "Dreamboat Annie," just as beautiful. When are you going to write us a review?

I listened to Dumbala on YouTube... indeed... I'm going to look for the album as soon as I can!

I agree about Anderson's solo albums. I was actually referring more to his tour a few years ago, which stopped in Milan at the conservatory theater. The reinterpretations Anderson did that night of the Yes classics were extremely convincing to me. From the impressions shared in this review, the rest of the group is definitely out of shape (except for Howe's holy hands, although everything else is aging), and I wonder how they could possibly take around material that has the same energy as the Drama period.

I've only seen a few videos from this tour circulating on YouTube, and frankly, they gave me goosebumps—in a negative way, I mean. Someone there commented that this lineup might bring Yes back to working on harder material reminiscent of certain things from the '70s, but personally, I side with Anderson and his new-age fixation, perhaps better tempered by the contributions of his bandmates (since the good singer is not exactly a genius in terms of composition), leading to a more tranquil and meditative "yessound," more suitable for the age and the capabilities of the quintet nowadays. Benoit, I’m sorry, but I just can't see it: imprecise and with an unbearable feminine tone.
