In my opinion, you've hit the nail on the head; incredibly, despite being about music (haha). A rather shocking collection for me, they wanted to prove that they have it longer than everyone else, but it wasn't necessary. The new track is fantastic; the rest is frankly useless, if not out of focus. And I say this as an admirer who is rediscovering their more hard rock-oriented works, as my listening habits demonstrate. Above all, Emperor of Sand and the excellent EP, which truly manages to happily explore uncharted paths.

The premises for a hyper-complex (if not confusing) plot were all there. Essentially, you laid out all the (in my opinion) valid criticisms that can be made about Interstellar. And it’s not a good thing if in the end, it turns out to be a beautiful yet inextricable mess, even if visually striking. I will go see it with this awareness and will come back to give you a very likely 5.
