@Nose, in my opinion we need to make a distinction. It's one thing to say that an album is a product of its time and that's not necessarily a bad thing. In the sense that we are talking about sounds that belong to a certain period but remain artistically relevant even today. It's another thing to say that the album has aged; in that case, it means it hasn't fully passed the test of time, and therefore, today, it turns out to be a challenging sound. "La Buona Novella" falls into the second category.

Textually it is undeniable; unfortunately, it suffers from the music that today seems almost unproposable and incredibly outdated. In fact, not by chance, after this album there will be the period with Nicola Piovani that will bring a different breeze that remains, and I do not understand why, still today it is subject to criticism.

I believe they were exceptional only when they were called Hatfield and The North. I've always felt, listening to them, that after "The Rotters' Club" something broke forever. What a shame indeed.

I dissent from Ardalo and Bore! A solid 4.

A little personal anecdote: while heading to my brother's room, I found this record. I decided to listen to it because I didn't know it, fearing it would be crap (considering the stuff he usually listens to). What do I find? A record that's not entirely my style, but definitely not trash, well produced. It's not the record of the century, but one can easily admit that it's good for that one time you listen to it.

Praise is a euphemism. Thank you, Charles.

Ugly, really ugly. I don't see any ideas in this album. When I heard "Wrong," I only hoped they had messed up the single choice. But no. Maybe I'll reconsider it later, but right now it doesn't even deserve a passing grade. It risks being the worst of their career.

If it was 107 minutes, it was a devastating moment! Luckily, you just made a mistake in writing. I'll look for it.

Great album, in my opinion. @Giustiziere, your comment brought a smile to my face.

Commendable review but a little lengthy, what a shame. I don’t adore Billy Joel, but he always has those 2-3 songs that, if you listen to them, really get you in a good mood.
