Nice page, I don't know the gentleman in question.

The latest review of the group (before this one) introduced me to them, and I did a bit of research. The album isn't bad, but it doesn't get under my skin since I'm not a fan of the genre.

Welcome to Debaser. Well done, a wonderful analysis that I agree with. My rating is the same as yours (3.5) but I round it down to a 3 precisely in relation to the previous albums, meaning that listening to it leaves a bit of a bitter taste looking back at what they have left.

I know the one from '96 and it's not bad; I'll see to get this one.

Macaco, in some ways, continues the conversation started by Muito in the previous months, and this is a very good thing, as it further enhances the website's database. Moreover, it brings us proposals directly from across the ocean.

I agree with Blecht, the proposals may be good but you get lost in lengthy and unnecessary discussions. One thing that annoys readers over time and doesn't encourage them to seek out the record and delve deeper. P.S. A moment of humility when you write wouldn't hurt.

Zarrillo prog? Yes. Let’s explain. Zarrillo was part, along with his brother, of a Roman progressive group called Semiramis. The only album they released is titled "Dedicato a Frazz" (which is also discussed here). Personally, I don't think it's bad at all. Zarrillo was notable for his remarkable guitar skills (it was said he was exceptionally gifted and only 16 years old!). Frithurik rightly mentioned Aria by Alan Sorrenti (where not only Ponty, Frank Zappa's violinist, played, but also other great musicians). Staying on Zarrillo, he is not the only example that can be made. I’ll give another: Matia Bazar, whose drummer Golzi came from Museo Rosenbach (where he stood out for some amazing drumming parts) while the other members came from the group J.E.T. (known for an album titled "Fede, Speranza, Carità").

Welcome to Debaser and Merry Christmas. Let’s start from a premise: you’re stepping into an uncomfortable position; it’s not great to start by saying you’re a Fan of Dream Theater (it's not great not because of what you've said, but because of the band in question; we’re a bit saturated here). The review isn’t too bad, just watch out for some naïve mistakes and always gather information about the album in question. It’s crucial to have a review where the essential information is always present and timely; try not to overdo it on that front.

Welcome to Debaser. Merry Christmas to you too. Nice review (P.S. Second!)

Welcome to Debaser. A particular review, it left me a bit perplexed. I won't give a judgment; a partial criticism of a debut wouldn't be fair. An immortal, magical album, like the previous one (which I prefer, not so much musically since it's almost impossible to say from that standpoint, but for the feelings it evokes in me). Suicide is neither to be heroicized nor condemned. It is an extreme and very sad act, a sign of the intrinsic and dramatic weakness that is part of being human. In my opinion, the experience of New Order could exist, and it was right for it to exist precisely because it started with a new name and in search of different musical shores. Apart from the very early works, New Order sought a detachment from Joy Division, at least theoretically and stylistically, which allowed them to stand on their own feet (as indeed they did).
