Nice review, the most fluid one I've read so far.

Vinyl records do not have a fixed duration limit. You can have a vinyl last for sixty minutes (or even a bit more) if you want, but this means that the grooves are narrower and thus the area touched by the needle is smaller, potentially resulting in a drop in sound fidelity. Normally, narrow grooves do their excellent job for audio tracks that are purely spoken and do not require a spectacular rendering. However, to ensure an impactful sound experience for danceable tracks, the grooves must inevitably be wide: this is why 12-inch singles exist.

@Geeno: actually, the duration fits into two LPs, the first one lasts 45 minutes and the second one 40 (still, a single CD wouldn't have been enough).

Even though it is, all in all, the most "joyful" of their entire discography, especially in the lyrics where the word "love" appears a number of times (which used to be a delightful taboo for the people of Bergamo).

For me, for example, even "Harpy rockets hell and flames" and "Adoratorio" (the latter in particular gives me chills) which are perhaps the most potentially dark evoke a kind of wicked sabbath, but held at 6 in the morning. Bright but not joyful, then. But it's a subjective feeling, of course.

In my opinion, this is the brightest album that Verdena have ever made: it's clear, there isn't a single dark part. It's like when you step out of the house at dawn and a freezing breeze shakes off the drowsiness of sleep. In a way, it's the one with the least radio-friendly songs yet it's the most accessible they've ever made, because it's as if it's, oh my, "universal"... I don't know, a strange feeling, I might be exaggerating, anyway I'm listening to it on repeat.
