The review is excellent and the album is too, but I don't agree on a couple of points: I continue to prefer Infinity, because there I see greater "creativity," a work less confined to the classic AOR standards (which I do like, but in terms of imagination, it leaves a bit to be desired). I'm puzzled about what the best lineup of Journey is: personally, I strongly prefer Rolie-Dunbar over the quite capable Cain-Smith. The greatness of Ainsley Dunbar (who played on some of Zappa's masterpieces) can be felt, in my opinion, on the early works of J., and the same goes for Rolie. Anyway, this is still a great album. And Don't Stop Believing still gives me chills today.

I'm tempted to call it my favorite album, Escape is a perfect record, Departure is too, but here I feel a bit more pathos, the melodies are less predictable.
And then on drums there's Ansley Dunbar who, without taking anything away from Steve Smith, is a giant. Just think about what he did with Uncle Frank Zappa.
Among my favorite U.S. bands, they're almost on the same line as Styx and Toto, and ahead of Boston, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon. I'd avoid comparisons with Survivor, please.

I can't see the album because I didn't even know it existed; I'll try to get it even though the nostalgia for Steve Perry is strong. A remarkable band, anyway. Yes, "Taurus," "Any Way You Want It" was one of their biggest hits, around 1980. But they've been around even before that.
DON'T STOP BELIEVING!!! Neal Schon is amazing, even before with Santana, then with Bad English and many other projects.

shame. you write well too (a bit lengthy perhaps?) but the five muscled fools don’t deserve that much love. an album of unbearable emptiness. always obviously in my humble opinion.

PROG-METAL DOES NOT EXIST!!!!
The theater of dreams is a bunch of hypertrophic show-offs who can’t compose and are only good at flexing their muscles.
That said (and I can imagine the insults coming), great album! The subsequent Empire is also nice, then they kind of disappeared.

Nice review, perhaps a bit indulgent. I have now cut ties with the old Lucianone, I fear the release of a new album (not this latest commercial operation) because with kids and a wife at home, it would eventually arrive. Sadness.

"I am starting to fear that it is." Total horror for my ignorance, the subjunctive murdered is plotting revenge.

Here, I had already read the review by movimentiprog so I noticed it right away. Since it’s signed by Donato Zoppo, I begin to fear that it is simply a copy. I refrain from judgments on the review, but I applaud the intention to give the deserved space to such a (multi)talented artist like fabiozuf.

insufferable, slightly better than Spock's Beard, Flower Kings, and especially Merdtheater. I love Marillion, even the current ones, but this Transatlantic really gives you the impression of sailing towards shipwreck. I don’t have this album, but I bought (and resold after 2 listens) both of the eternal, mind-numbingly dull double live albums. They sound good, that’s it. Zero ideas, sub-zero sparks. But how can anyone fill their mouth with praise for this album? Perhaps because what is considered progressive is the annoying prog-metal of theatrical types and the like. But listen to (just to stick with the "Inside Out" label) the works of Beardfish, just to give an example: they sound just as good but, thank goodness, you actually hear something, not hours of mental masturbation and a display of muscles.
