I have deeply loved this album...

In agreement with maledimiele.
Anyone interested in the true story of Rino Gaetano and his albums knows him regardless of the fiction.
However, if it were to bring even just one person closer, it would be a positive thing.

In my opinion, that's one of the few cases where the cover is even better than the original!

Allow me, but those who say that Rino Gaetano only did "nice things" have absolutely understood nothing about the artist and perhaps have never made an effort to understand his lyrics. The "nice thing" was just an attitude, a well-defined choice, an ironic twist in his writing style. The lyrics, on the other hand, are harsh; they are social denunciations, straightforward and unapologetic. Those who believe that Aida is a love song are gravely mistaken. Aida is a criticism of the dark sides of Italy, retracing decades of history. Just like SPENDI SPANDI EFFENDI, CAPOFORTUNA, NUNTEREGGAE PIU', and the list could go on indefinitely.

One of the Italian artists I love the most.
Fiction, as predictable, focused almost entirely on the sentimental side and his dedication to alcohol.
It would have been much more appropriate to emphasize the social and ironic aspects of Gaetano's music.
Very good, Santamaria.

Well Anatas, I agree that the film isn't a masterpiece, but I think your critique is a bit too harsh and quite unnecessary. I don't believe that either Rubini (whom I don't particularly admire as a director, a bit better as an actor) intended to suggest that all people from Bari are like that, nor do I think that those who watched the film thought this. It was a snapshot of a segment of the Bari population, which is indeed not far from how it is depicted in the film. Moreover, it is certainly much more marketable and sellable in cinematographic terms, compared to the average Bari person, maybe someone with a degree like you and me, and an honest worker.
P.S. I'm from Barletta.

I didn't like the review either. I agree that the album is a masterpiece, but it seems to me that everything is addressed superficially and written quite poorly.
