Dear Doc (can I too?), you have made a wise and thoughtful purchase, and you’ve got one of the finest duo albums available! Ron Carter, by the way, is my favorite double bass player, I’ve told you everything... what great class that album has! The only "flaw": audio quality not exactly exceptional (but still acceptable). I greet you cordially with (respectful) pats on the back!

Hi darling! I agree with its importance, but certain hyperboles should be avoided in my opinion! Yes, I mean, it would be bold to say such a thing even if we were talking about Jimi Hendrix, simply because there is no absolute greatest guitarist, or pianist, or drummer... it depends on too many variables, some objective, others subjective, the musical genres, the historical period, the "geographical" context, etc. etc.

How well you've written it, Doctor! You amaze me, it seems you've almost earned your place in the A list of reviewers... my compliments. I only know this musician by name, I'll make a note of it! @ThirdEye: DRòGàTOo

It doesn’t drive me crazy; there’s too little meat for my liking, but the cover photo is enticing, and I would do it there on the pillow, a bit out of the blue, savoring the expression of helpless surprise...

Hello everyone and thank you! @Gustavo: but weren't you just passive? @Jake: Holland is truly great, and in this album, he shines! I don't know much about big band works, any couple of titles? Thanks! @Egregio Dr. Adder: do you really have your money scattered around in drawers? I would envy you if it weren't for the fact that I wouldn't sleep soundly in your place... I thank you with heartfelt flattery, allowing me to point out that the period applied to the decimal "0" is logically meaningless; however, its conceptual use is guessable, and this further inflates my vain ego, knowing that you are quite sparing in your evaluations and that your 5s are often rounded up ;-) @ThirdEye: thanks! The line-up is truly amazing... @Pulp: how nice that someone knows him!! he he this is a site for perverted piglets, what can you do? ;-) @Metamatic: don't mention it! @Mocampo: Live In Tokyo is beautiful, and what can we say about "River Man" and "Paranoid Android," or "How Long Has This Been Going On?" and "Monk's Dream"?

Even though "Exit Music" is ruined by the voice, which in this case is excessively whiny and fussy... if you're curious, listen to the "jazz" version of "Paranoid Android" that Brad Mehldau gave on the piano in his "Live In Tokyo"; 19 minutes of genius, a piece transformed and elevated to the third power!

Great album, known even by the stones. My favorite is "Lucky"!
