For as little as I know about metal, I agree with Sotanaht; I would define Bs as hard rock-proto-metal, and the difference with '80s metal is quite evident to my MODEST opinion. It might also be that I really like the BS (as well as Judas Priest’s "Sad Wings of Destiny"), while I'm much less fond of Iron Maiden or Metallica.

For example, I've read many different takes on the difference between "metal" and "heavy metal"... can anyone who knows more than me give their version? We really didn't need this. I believe a glance at the comments on the review of CATHEDRAL-"Stained Glass Stories" by PurpleFaith or CARAVAN-"In The Land..." by DaveJonGilmour would be enough to disprove this assumption. These things just annoy me, they’re pathetic, period.
