Even "sad Wings..." in my opinion isn't pure heavy metal. But here too it's a matter of terminology...

But why these absolutisms? They are absurd, it's simply the form of art that you prefer :)

"The history of rock is full of stars; in my opinion, Genesis is not among them. There are few certainties in this world, and the fact that Genesis is not among the stars of rock is not one of them."

For as little as I know about metal, I agree with Sotanaht; I would define Bs as hard rock-proto-metal, and the difference with '80s metal is quite evident to my MODEST opinion. It might also be that I really like the BS (as well as Judas Priest’s "Sad Wings of Destiny"), while I'm much less fond of Iron Maiden or Metallica.

Shall we say that Black Sabbath are the grandparents of metal? :D A lot depends, in my opinion, on agreeing on the use of terms. For example, I've read many different takes on the difference between "metal" and "heavy metal"... can anyone who knows more than me give their version? Ah, metal or not metal, the album remains a masterpiece :D The opening track is chilling...

Lord, forget about the talk of majorities; it's a dead end :D night!

But Woodstock isn't entirely wrong, I mean, almost all the judgments I've read from you are negative; is it really possible that you find everything disgusting? I mean, I can see that you know what you're talking about, you write well and you make good arguments, but come on... I have nothing to say about your 20 favorite albums (I don't know them all, though), but maybe you could have a slightly less "snobby" attitude, don’t you think? No offense, though :D By the way, did I dream it or did I read somewhere that you're a physicist?

We really didn't need this. I believe a glance at the comments on the review of CATHEDRAL-"Stained Glass Stories" by PurpleFaith or CARAVAN-"In The Land..." by DaveJonGilmour would be enough to disprove this assumption. These things just annoy me, they’re pathetic, period.

Arnold, I sent you a private message, although it’s not very useful, to be honest...

For that, it's enough to look in the mirror.
