Conspiracy theories? To me, it seems quite evident that behind the expression "gay-metal" and the equation "gay = sweet voice, sappy lyrics, syrupy melodies, catchy and danceable choruses, etc.," there are the usual coarse stereotypes. The conspiracy theory, if anything, is the statement <<hearing a homosexual say "i'm your turbo lover, better run for cover" is not the best thing that can happen to you in life, if you're not gay.>> What an exaggeration! It reminds me of Gardini, who felt raped because Luxuria went to pee in the women's restroom...

You expressed it very well, and I agree with what you say regarding Turbo (based on what I’ve seen and heard of "Turbo Lover"). However, I think that the use of the word "gay" to refer to what you mean is nothing more than a cliché, moreover crude and in poor taste. It seems obvious to me that the term "gay" is used here in a clearly derogatory sense. All this without wanting to polemicize (I know very well that you didn’t come up with the expression "gay-metal").

But! Here we play at not understanding each other :D I've seen some videos on YouTube (including a funny parody of the video, with bicycles instead of motorbikes :-)), the song is pretty trivial and is indeed little more than a catchy tune, its artistic value being at least questionable. Okay. What I don't understand is what this has to do with the adjective "gay" (aside from the irrelevant fact that the singer is homosexual). I mean, "catchy and danceable choruses = gay," but why?

No, Hatfield, you didn't get it! I didn't want to know a judgment on "Turbo," nor do I intend to listen to it, having read from multiple sources that it pretty much sucks. I was just curious to know why an album with a commercial sound is labeled gay-metal, since you wrote above, <<Oleeinar, Turbo can be defined as "Gay Metal" as it is also characterized by a more "commercial" sound compared to the others.>> Anyway, it was just that, nothing important!

@hetfield, thanks for the suggestion :-))) But what do you think about "commercial sound => gay-metal"?
