In short, Magma really kick ass, while Asia just tickle you at most! What have you listened to from Magma, Pib?

Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooss sssssssssssssssssaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaa???????? Magma eats Asia for breakfast!!!! By the fourth track (but it could have been the first, they’re all the same) I had a crisis of rejection... we’re talking about songs of an astonishing banality, music that is retrograde and devoid of any ideas or originality. Magma has managed to create an incredible maquillage (is it spelled like this?) of rock, jazz, Wagner, and Carmina Burana, reaching levels of expressiveness and evocative power only matched by German cosmic music and kraut!

@MAH, then it must mean that Amorphis isn’t for me :-) Anyway, I’m not an expert in these genres (just like in any others, for that matter…), so I won’t dive into a dangerous discussion about the necessity of using growl. I only know that when I listen to albums where growled parts alternate with clean ones, like in Opeth, I like the clean vocals much more and I wish the whole album was like that. (Although I can tolerate Opeth's growl).
