1985, after the huge success - and the related - triumphant tour of "Stay Hungry", the American band Twisted Sister tried again with "Come Out And Play", in my opinion the most mature album of their short but intense career.
The album in question did not replicate the success of the previous one; on the contrary, it was a flop both in the United States and even more so in the Old Continent. Despite this, the band's approach to playing this album turns out to be much more varied and complete than previous works. The title track presents itself with a much harder sound and very metallic riffs, thereby somewhat abandoning the glam sound present in the successful S.H. Besides the mentioned title track, the beautiful "Out In The Streets", "I Believe In Rock n Roll", and "The Fire Still Burns" stand out - one of the most beautiful pieces written by Dee Snider. Also noteworthy are the tracks "Leader Of The Pack" and "Be Chrool To Your Scuel", the latter with Alice Cooper who enjoys duetting with the old Dee and with Billy Joel on the piano.
An excellent album, nothing new but nothing bad either, and then Dee Snider is one of the most beautiful and powerful voices the metal scene has ever offered, especially live, and in this album, he is in great shape.
