<< Someone who writes to me "..your introduction is so boring, the track by track is pointless for a punk band.." really gets on my nerves because those are useless comments..if you don't want to read the introduction, read something else..>> but for God's sake, what are you talking about? Thinking like you, should we give 5 to all reviews? Can't you understand? Look, this is how it works: you write a review and we have the right to express our judgment. We didn't like the review for certain reasons, and that's that. You must have had your reasons for doing the introduction that way, etc., I don't doubt it, but the result was still not positive. If I start painting, I might use certain colors for a very specific reason, but that doesn't mean the painting will turn out well just because I had a reason to do it that way. I understand you wanted to convey how you approached this genre, but thatâs something that shouldnât be in a review, at least not in this form. I hope itâs clear because it feels like talking to someone who doesnât want to understand. Regarding the track by track, in most cases, itâs a terrible way to review, especially when there are many songs like in this case. The reasons? Because itâs super boring, itâs poorly written, itâs repetitive (you keep saying âthe next piece,â âthe following track,â the guitar does this, the drums do that, etc.) and above all, itâs USELESS. Reviewing an album does not mean doing a minute-by-minute description; nobody cares. The purpose of a review is not this; the important thing is to provide an overview of what youâre reviewing, a brief and incisive description of the product as a whole, to express some of your opinions or feelings, to entice or not to listen, etc. You say you canât get more than 20 lines like this? But 20 lines are perfectly fine! There are thousands of reviews on this site that are not track by track, so donât come telling me that reviews can only be done this way. And anyway, you can talk about the songs by incorporating them into a more articulated discourse, without making a shopping list. I realize itâs more challenging, but nobody ever said writing a review is easy; if you donât have great talent, itâs not enough to just sit down and jot down a few lines. << Then I donât understand one thing: why should a 16-year-old have a lesser culture than a 40-year-old?? If I have listened to all good music until now (you know the genres by now), unlike someone who has only listened to pop music, light music, and love songs, why shouldnât I know something more than him??? >> Honestly, itâs mind-boggling that you donât understand. Of course, you know more music than my father, who has never listened to it. But Iâm not talking about a random 50-year-old, that's clear. To be precise, Iâm talking about the user SUPERSOUL (is that clear?), who is not << someone who has only heard pop music, light music, and love songs >> but actually has decades of listening to a different kind of music. If you took the time to read his pages, you would realize that (and youâd also get an idea of how to write an excellent review without a track by track), and maybe youâd avoid making unfounded judgments. A little humility for Godâs sake!
