ah.... "I don't offend anyone at all," let's count: 1) little shit professor 2) you possess such arrogance and pretentiousness 3) I feel pretty sorry for you. Not bad for someone who never offends anyone and above all. Trust me.... go get this treatment.

alessioiride I've been on this site for a few months now, let's say four, and I've recently learned to identify those I can chat with and those I should keep my distance from. You're a good guy (the proof is that you even gave me a 4, and then a 1, but I couldn't care less about that) but in my opinion, you suffer from some existential malaise (like the majority of civilized humanity, or maybe you just need a good romp). Sometimes you seem to split into two personalities... reread your review of nomeansno, where you insult left and right and claim the right to do so because the review is yours... Conversely, I don’t pity you; in fact, I feel a lot of tenderness for you, hehehe... On this site, many people take themselves too seriously, adopting professional airs that are out of place instead of treating it as a healthy diversion. I get the impression that you’re among those who aren’t enjoying themselves here. And speaking of the subject of “professorini,” you're invited to read my upcoming review of The Muggs, where I’ll properly "ironize" them along with the Keane, but I hope that their admirers don’t take it the way you do, alessioiride.

çalessio iride, but you’re the one who can’t write a review without insulting someone, like metalheads, prog, etc.? Kid, I already told you once that you need to get help... I’m not being condescending; I wrote an ironic and hopefully entertaining review that pokes fun at myself, a blabbering fool who doesn’t understand a damn thing. Anyone is free to listen to whatever half-baked stuff they want, BUT (and here I come to odradek) if I read that the Korn album is a seminal and milestone record for those to come, I can respect your preference for these artists, but I INTERVENE and say: buddy, you’re talking nonsense. If that’s not the case, then it’s better to close up shop and debaser...

çodradek, this is not about disrespecting others' opinions, but about "futzing around" with those who consider the record they cheer for as "fundamental," "seminal," "milestone," etc. If you do the math on how many times these claims have been made on debaser, we would have at least four thousand seminal records, including those by Korn and Battles. If the covers had still been made of cardboard, Uncle Frankie would have wiped his ass with them. (maybe after softening them with water)

If you had stopped at the film in question, the review would be good, but in the central part you take risks by making comparisons with other directors that reveal, I presume, your young age and the lack of "handling" of their works. You focus on "America oggi" by Altman, which is based on Carver and is therefore minimalistic, but the same Altman is as far removed as we can imagine from Jarmush. And Cimino is not just the one from The Deer Hunter; he is also the one from "Una calibro 20 per lo specialista," which, in portraying losing anti-heroes grappling with daily squalor, surpasses, IMO, Jarmush himself.

...I hope for you that at least you have the password for the pussy!

@odradek, far from wanting to defend a supposed "beauty" of the review, on the contrary, I'm proud of the opposite...the result has partially been achieved, as you can see from the posts of paloz, mien mo man, duane, well before my any "explanation" and so I am happy about it. The real tragedy is that we are arguing over Battles and Korn.

"A stunning album regardless of personal tastes" Hit rewind and realize the nonsense you just said.

Zappa = John Waters; Zorn = David Lynch: Tarantino = the Fuzztones

Interesting discussion that also involves the Battles regarding the review of Lumpy Gravy by uncle...uh, master Zappa.
