The difference between Van der Graaf and Genesis? VDGG made music for themselves, Genesis for the market.

...a double "sexual" entendre from Totò memorized from one of his films (Totò, Fabrizi and the Youth of Today) "...accountant, you need to make yourself a sciammeria!" Translation of sciammeria from the Devoto - napOLItano dictionary: "the term sciammèria mainly refers to a long coat with a tail, but also to the sexual act" ...and we are in 1960 approximately.

...what a sad page... paraphrasing Nanni Moretti, I can say: "YOU have become ugly. I listened to the right things and now I am a splendid forty-year-old!"... and then Al Stewart was Scottish too... maybe primiballi is referring to James Stewart when he sang "My darling Clementine" in the John Ford films...

@lord, Guy Evans on that record is terrifying, but everyone is a virtuoso, from Hugh Banton to Jackson. "Man Erg" is epic, but also listen to My Room which is on "Still"; it could have been released this morning and no one would realize it’s 30 (that’s right, 30) years old.

Good job, bjorky, Henry Laboritt is right in "Elogio della fuga" (which I recommend you read, especially regarding the chapter on love). In some cases, it's better to leave, because I've never seen so much nonsense condensed into just two lines like those of Joe Cavalli...

He he he... denyil, you're quoting "I Am Legend"... when everyone has turned into monsters, the only one left normal is the real monster...

"House with no door" from "H to He" is the most beautiful song ever written by a human, both in terms of lyrics, music, and interpretation... the rest, including Genesis, I'll leave as a tip... to Joe Cavalli.

So nice, to check if you like it or not, just click on "more info" on the side. It's Bingham's site where you can stream the entire album, and in the media section, there are some videos (no MTV!!!) documenting the making of. This guy has made a great album; let's hope it doesn't go to waste.

Alright, if MAH allows it, I would like to say that Ryan Adams has long embarked on a career as an excellent musician, offering pure and sophisticated FM entertainment, far removed from the communicative urgency of Whiskeytown. This good album confirms that. If you want some excitement, shift your attention to the next big thing, Ryan Bingham.

I had already gone beyond horror long before the Rivoli intervention.
