but many had understood it, even Fripp, only Yes and several debaseriani continued to get lost in their fantasies until they became blind (and deaf).

Sorry, Fottermeier, but for me, compared to all that stuff done in the past, the latest one is ridiculous, while pretending it's from a new group is boring.

...Mirage! It's true that with "Get on down" they made it to MTV, but what country Confusion Fog!... but why maybe Monsters isn't such a great album? The guitar intertwining is at its maximum expression, here they are a great southern band, children of the Allman Brothers or the Grateful Dead.

come on bjorky, don’t get mad, soon we’ll hit him with the punk attack of Nadir's Big Chance, maybe he’ll like it...

And I, on the other hand, disagree with alessioiride who finds them negligible. They were the champions of SST along with Minutemen and Husker Du, but their style is very personal, and indeed, tell me how to classify that timeless MASTERPIECE that is Huevos. The non-heroin-addicted Kirkwood has formidable guitar interweavings. Once they left SST, they got lost. The review is beautiful for those who are in the know and passionate about the Meat Puppets; for others, I don't know, who cares.

Hey dashboard, so much so that Santana's performance was deemed boring that they went from being complete strangers to a contract the very next day with Columbia for the first album that sold millions of copies in a year...

@alessioiride, excuse me, what comparisons are you making? It's clear that the Santana you saw with a 30-minute delay was a pizza-making version, but here we are discussing (though, judging by the review and comments, I’d say just chatting) the Santana of Abraxas, when he took the stage at Woodstock with a young, great drummer like Shrieve, Chepito Areas, and Carabello on congas, Gregg Rolie on organ, and with "Soul Sacrifice," he had even those sprawled out on the lawn from overdose jumping.

Well! You talk about missing the seventies esotericism of Santana when you see in the very esoteric "Black Magic Woman" by the unfortunate Peter Green a piece that evokes the tingling atmosphere of ecstasies on the boardwalk, almost as if it were a song by the Righeira brothers. A review, I hope you'll forgive me, that I find unnecessary for a great album like this.

Sorry, but "Story of my Life," "Ball and Chain," and "Ring of Fire" are not from Prison Bound but from the subsequent self-titled album Social Distortion. Ness's main influences have been the Clash, even in the way he presents himself like a 60s rebel, in a Strummer-esque way. The album that all SD enthusiasts are linked to is not so much "Prison Bound" but the unforgettable first album "Mommy's Little Monster," which is one of the greatest masterpieces of second-wave punk, with the punk history always ready to turn into a brawl and the girl with blue hair... good times. PS the comparison with the extended solos of the Conner brothers of Screaming Trees compared to the concise verse - short solo - verse of Ness and co. leaves me perplexed. Well.
